Will a Sky box work with Freesat

I'm changing to Freesat and wonder if the Sky box will work in a 2nd room?

Yes. Sky and Freesat receive signal from the same satellites.

A Sky box will receive all FTA ( Free To Air) without the vieweing card.

But i'd leave the card in the box, as it will...

A) Give you access to a few extra FTV(Free To View) channels, such as Five,Fiver,Fiver USA,Viva,Sky3 and C4 HD and now Five HD (with an HD box,obviously), plus a few other shopping and 'chat' channels.

B) Regionlise your box- if you remove the card, a Sky box usually defaults to BBC London and ITV Meridian
