Why is it so hard to get hold of a Sony STR-DA2400es???

Have tried everywhere to get hold of one (silver preferably),but they never seem to be in stock! Hi-spek state that there is a problem with AV amp manufacturing at the moment? Any ideas out there?

Not aware of a world AV amp manufacturing crisis - think it's just that many people made conservative ordering/manufacturing decisions last year, and have been caught out by demand.

Supply and demand. As one product sells out (yamaha 863 for instance) people move over to the next thing and then it runs out. On it goes. We are short of most amps up to £1000 right now.

As for the 2400 silver is no longer available to order from Sony - well certainly not today - black is coming back into stock towards June but that is for new orders. Dealers who readily stock this model may get stock before.
