Why a dedicated CD player?? I hear zero difference.

Let's get this right once and for all (I feel like we are being duped by you but please prove me wrong); are you connecting the DacMagic to the cd player with coaxial or optical and then analogue to the amp? If not, then that's the problem.

Yes, i tried both optical or coaxial from a cd player then to dac and then analogue to stereo amp.

And then compare it to a straight digital source without dac.

I'm from Belgium, maybe i should find one that that could prove me wrong and go listening at his house.

But as i said that friend of mine treid many different scenarios on different equipment.

Still i need that dac if i want to use my stereo amp seperate for music.

I have to say I don't get it either. Ok you've got a monster integrated amp I get that part.

Doesn't look like the sort of thing I'd lug round my mates (if I had one)!

Oh, but the last few weeks we do it a lot becausse we bought some new gear at the same time.

We spend a lot of time trying things out, speaker placement, room acoustics, swap amps with speakers,...

It is very important and good way to improve sound if you have the chance doing these things and the wife will let you.

Oh, at the contrary, i'm very pleased and excited with my new amp, it's hard to leave the housse, i don't let a dac where i was expecting more from spoil it.

Happy Christmas, cya!!
