I know its down to seeing the screens side by side and this really is down to me but which screen would you buy? If you had under £2k for a new plasma/Lcd under 46” what would you say is the best. And also I do not like the Sony Lcd even the 2009 models so nothing from them or Pioneer as to big for my room.

I will be replacing my Panasonic 42PX60 with one of the following. I really would like what and why you would pick the screen please.

Samsung UE40B8000/UE46B8000

Panasonic 42V10

Philips 42PES001

Samsung UE40B7020/UE46B7020

I'd opt for the Panasonic 42V10 and here are my reasons why -

- The design of the set is more appealing to my eyes. It has to look good in my room!

- It's a plasma. I prefer the performance and quality of a good plasma screen than any other screen, especially the colour reproduction.

- I find Panasonic to be more reliable than Philips and Samsung.

Thanks Purify21 for your feedback and I am like you over the V10 but will look at the others too. You right about the look of the screen to as i want it to look like great as well as show great images.

I would buy the 46G10 and save the other £1k cash. But if you can really afford £2k without batting an eye, I would get a Pioneer 50".

An often overlooked model is the JVC WX70 - I can not praise this screen highly enough. We have it side by side with our 42V10 in the shop and it is more than a match for it. It is only available in a 42" and super slim ( you can take the speakers off as well ) but its the picture that impresses the most.

I am also thinking about the Panasonic 46G15/42G15 but dont like the style of the plasma over the other makes. And as I pointed out I can't ahve the Pioneer as its to big for my room 462 is the max!
