Which new TV to buy.

OK here I am looking at a new TV. Currently I have a Sony KV36HQ100 watching Sky SD at the moment with a view to moving to HD when I've got the TV. Also I'll be using it for playing PS3 games and watching Blue Ray's and Standard DVD's. I'm looking at the 40" screen size which seems to be the biggest category, which is why I'm here. I’ve seen that the Sony KDL-40W4000 and the X3000, but seem to see that there are new models coming within the next month or two. A bit of direction would help, sorry for the long post.

Sony W4000 are new models. (3000 is last years). Also look at the Panny 42" plasmas.

Fullspoon, the Sony W4000 is a pretty new TV so unless you're willing to shell out the $$$ for a new X series when it is launched, you can go for that. As rewerb said, the Panasonics are worth checking out also. The Pioneer 428 is an "older" model that is still worth checking out as well if you can find it. Last year's Award Winner.
