Hi there,

Been trawling the web looking for a micro hi-fi system to buy for my desk but have had little success.

Ideally it would have the following: CD, DAB, Bluetooth and Aux-in. A good pair of speakers are also a must, but only want to spend around the £100 mark, maybe a bit more if needed.

Any suggestions/recommendations would be appreicated. Thanks.

Is £100 budget for speakers only or the whole thing?

If it's just the speakers than I'd say Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 can be had for around that price on the end of Onkyo CRN-765 (circa £300). If you're looking for that kind of functionality all for £100 I'd suggest going second hand only but even then doing this with these expectations within a £100 will be difficult.

100 pounds for an all in one is ambitious. I'd look at anything in the 200 pounds region that gets favourable review on Amazon etc and then try pick one up second hand off ebay

If it's for on your desk whilst working can I assume you are using a PC ?

If so, and it has a cd drive & BT then all your needs are met. A good pair of powered/active speakers or headphones would be enough.

(If you're only listening whilst working, headphones might be better.
