Which is the best 40inch LCD TV on the market? Sony KDL 40X 3500 or Sony 40W 4500?

I want to buy the best 40inch LCD on the market. I've heard lots of good things about the Sony KDL 40X 3500. Is this better than the Sony KDL 40W 4500? Can anyone help as I would like to make a decision soon.

Looks like the w4500 series have a few issues if you check out the other threads.

40X3000/3500 is a spectacular bargain now. We've been selling them at £1099.99 with a 5 year warranty and stocks have depleted very quickly. Its a superb set.

How much will you be selling the new X series for ? If you have any what do you think ?

No stock of the new X as yet and no real price information either though it will, of course, go back up in price as the current prices on the X3000/3500 are only down to end-of-line sell-outs. The big one this week is the Z which we are getting at the end of this week. Looking forward to seeing it.

Not normally one for tv aesthetics ( i own a px80 and a 606) I think the new X series- 46'' upwards- is gorgeous. Would be worth looking at even if clouds were all you could see.
