which HDMI cable?

hello folks some advice please.

i have a samsung full 40 inch HD tv. hooked up to Virgin V+ HD box.

i also have got a panasonic bluer ay theatre to watch my films.

i have got a QED classic 1.3 HDMI cable from my panny to the tv.

i have got the same cable from my tv to my virgin box.

i also have got a digital interconnect from panny to virgin for the sound.

i have just been told about the 1.4 HDMI cable.

do i need to get a 1.4??? what am i missing out on, will 1.4 improve my performance?

any advice please regarding my setup.
