Which Centre Speaker

I have the KEF 2005.2 Speaker package and as a lot of people have said the centre speaker is the achillies heal now what do you think would make a suitable upgrade. I have been told the centre speaker from the 3005 is 100% better and £160 (Superfi) will get me one. Does anybody have other ideas.

If you are just changing the centre speaker then you need to consider trying to match the characteristics i.e. electrical and sound, of a new one to the existing ones. Hence moving to the other KEF model may prove suitable.

You may get lucky and find another make which does not upset the 'steering' of sound around all the speakers and blends in well.

You need to say what is 'wrong' with the current one. If it is just a matter of dialogue volume you should try and set your amp levels first before just replacing the speaker.
