Hi guys, need some pointers on a centre speaker. I have a Yamaha RX-V 373 receiver driving a pair of IPL M3M speakers, and for music they sound great. Movies however ain't so great; diction is sometimes non-existant whatever settings I play with, and my partner is forever turning up up up the volume, although her ears aren't the best to start with. I've been looking at Richer Sounds site and they have the Tannoy Revolution DC4 LCR at a good price but the main point is it's compact and will fit nicely into a bespoke cabinet we've had built. A sub isn't, and I do mean isn't an option, she just won't have one in the room, nor rear speakers. The centre speaker when in it's designated place will be a bit off-centre and not pointing directly forward so it will have to have a good horizontal field, although I'm not looking for perfect sound just the ability to hear diction and dialogue. Any pointers would be very much appreciated as the neighbours must be getting fed up by now!
