Which blu ray players are in group test next issue?

Anyone know yet? I noticed in the new issue it suggests a blu ray group test in next issue. Will the new panasonic players be involved (BD35,BD55) against the new sony one?

Yes!

The Group Test is between the upgraded Sony PlayStation 3, the Sony BDP-S350, the Panasonic DMP-BD35 and the Samsung BD-P1500.

We've also got the Panasonic DMP-BD55 in for test, so will be judging if it's worth the premium over its budget rivals.

Oh, and the new Pioneer LX71 gets thrown into the mix at some point. And the Denon DVD-2500BT Blu-ray transport.

At last, lots of lovely new Blu-ray players to choose from, at different prices!

Any prices on the Panasonic's? Same as BD30and 50 or reduced to compete with the new Sony machine?

As the Panas are still officially unannounced, there's no real-world pricing yet - i'd expect retailers to start flagging them up after next week's IFA announcement. But Pana's guidelines figures are same as for the BD30 and BD50 (£300/£500) - though as we know, the actual prices of those soon fell....

You don't have to wait until the next issue for that = there's a First Test of the Samsung BD-P1500 in the current (October) issue. Review should be up here online within next few weeks, too.
