I do wish the site had a buy&sell ! Apart from ebay can anyone recommend a site to sell a 5.1 speaker package? To large for posting I guess and what would I ask for them?

Thanks for your ideas.

+1 for Av forums. If things are well priced they often sell same day. Buyers are normally very friendly as they have their forum reputation to uphold, and the site runs an itrader rating system a bit like eBay.

Ok, well just going from completed listing on eBay:

A pair of 3s has gone for £140.

1s have gone between £30 and £100.

A cente has gone for £30.

A sub has gone for £150 (BIN).

So if your kit is in good nick and you take some decent photos, I would be tempted to put them on at £350-£375 and see what offers you get.

Since its free, you may as well have a go on facebook market place. I have had great luck selling on there. The problem I find with forums, is everyone knows how much somethings worth ;)

My main advice is to take lots of photos (doesn't cost to put them up on AV Forums) and a decent description / explanation. And read their trading rules carefully (don't commit to any price reductions until you're sure, no PMs until you've agreed a sale). good luck :)

That is indeed the problem! Although you do have motivated sellers who know how to play the game properly.

Not on Facebook, so don't this marketplace of which you speak ;)

FB market place is great, cos you always end up selling to a friend of a friend. I sold the Nano that came free with my MBP to a Uni friend, sold my Canondale to my partners old house mate, not sure who bought my 7D but she lived walking distance to my house. All very civilised.

I can too vouch for AV Forums as a good place to trade. I've bought and sold several items on there over the last 3 years and I've had no problems. Having said that, I've also done business on the Pink Fish Media, Art of Sound, and Hi-Fi WigWam forums with no issues either.

It's only when I've had no interest on those sites that I turn to Ebay.
