ok this is my first ever question, i want the best picture from a 42"-47" screen for £1200, seating is 2.1mtrs away it will be linked to a virgin+HD box and a Sony BDVP300 cinema system (a compromise to seperates i admit but i won it in a comp) and already planning upgrade next xmas, decided on attacama av55tsl/OriginS4A stand both available for £300 on top of tv (was looking at wall mount but is almost twice the price done professionally) and her who must be obeyed hates me spending MY money. no gaming cared for and music is catered for Via NAD CD/AMP B&W and Attacama.the quality of the picture is all important as additions of new AV and Bluray player will be forthcoming. i do not have an outside roof mounted aerial AKA the Vigin+HD. im open to either Plasma LCD or LED, What are my best choices.

there are many of this years tvs still to be reviewed , or even still to have appeared in shops , but you should shortlist panasonics g20 plasmas , sony ex503s , philips 42pfl9664 (best tv from last year according to whfi) ..

arriving soon is the panasonic v20 plasmas the samsung 6 and 7 series plasmas (7 is 3d) , numerous sony , samsung and lg edge led lit and rear led lit tvs ..

its honestly impossible to say what tv would be best for you , but it will be easier to shortlist in another 4-6 weeks when hopefully most of the new tvs will have been reviewed ..

Yes, I'd seriously wait a bit until we've tested more of the new 2010 models as there are so many still to come... will you want 3D capability, wi-fi, web browsing?

thanks for the advice guys i think ill wait a while then, went looking today john lewis and M&S are changing all there stock sony centres too. Not too fussed on the 3D as i doubt there will be much progamming for a while yet, unless you know different. wifi n web browsing might be worth while tho, best ive seen so far was Sony46Z5500 for picture quality and looks. illpost again in a few weeks....
