Whathifi digital subscription and single issue price

Hi All,

I have been thinking about subscribing to the digital issue of the magazine via the Google Play store but 1 year's subscription is £150 and a single issue costs £15. I no longer subscribe via ZINIO as you have to wait over a week after the shops to receive the download. Is there a specific reason for this or just an Apple product bias as this only costs £35 for a year's subscription via Pixelmags. I am hoping this is just an error because i have contacted the Google Play store who replied that pricing is set by the publisher which is the reason I have come to you. I look forward to a swift response so I can subscribe as i have in the past.

That doesn't sound right to me as the PixelMags digital edition is much less than that, and I've just checked on Google Play where a single issue is £2.99. I'll find out what the annual digital subscription is tomorrow.

Matt, thanks so much for bringing this to our attention. I checked with our subs team this morning and the prices quoted on Google Play are completely wrong.

The price should be the same as on Apple Newsstand, so we've asked Google to change them: the price should be £2.99 per digital issue, or £34.99 for an annual subscription. Sorry if you were scared off by the £150/£15 offer – gave me a bit of a shock too!
