What sound system do you have for your desktop pc?

Just wanted to know what you guys are rocking for your sound system on your pc. I have the sevens connected via usb and a pb 2000 pro svs sub connected to the sevens. Pretty basic but does the job well.

What do you guys have? DAC? Soundcard? 2.1/5.1?

My setup is a Focusrite DAW into my Macbook for recording music demos with some Adam A3X monitors. They pack a hell of a punch for 3" speakers & sound excellent for spotify/tidal streaming when I working.

I'm delighted with my PC desktop setup. It comes in two variations;

1. Pure desktop setup and,
2. Nearfield HiFi setup

The actors in order of appearance;

• PC; Ryzen 7800X3d, AIO cooling, 64GB DDR5, NVME M2 memory, supported by NAS and DAS network and direct storage. Nvidia GTX 3080 GPU. AIDA 64 System monitoring.
• Samsung Qled 2K 32" monitor, Podcast Microphone, various peripherals, customized mechanical laser powered keyboards, etc.
• Eversolo Z8 DAC, SingXer Class A headphone, WiiM Pro Plus, JF MXPro Digital Transport (for #2. offline use).
• Adam A7V active speakers and Focal Sub One SW. Hifiman Eds planar headphones.
• Mains protection.

Interesting (and very timely) thread.

Just in the process of setting up my new desk in the new office after our extension earlier this year (no chance of an office before that!)

I was hoping to connect my recently ish repaired NAD D3020 to my desktop via USB so I can use it for speakers or headphones.

Problem is I don't have any speakers as I used to have some Kef Q35.2 floorstanders but gave them away (plus they wouldn't fit anyway). Still got my Wharfedale Diamond SW150 sub.

Not sure what to go for with the setup. Ive been told (ahem) that they have to be small and not look like speakers (pretty much!) and as we've just spent a ton on the extension they need to be pretty inexpensive too!

Was thinking some Cambridge Audio Minx 22s but I'm not sure that they're all that great and I don't think the subwoofer will go high enough frequency wise to combine.

Ideal would be something like Gallo A'Diva spheres, only for the Cambridge Audio's price!

Any suggestions gratefully received!

You could consider Elac Debut b.2 speakers, can be used in near field setup.
Has favourable reviews and not too big for your desktop.

Qudelix 5K via USB C into the PC and Sony IER-M9 into Qudelix 2.5mm port for when I want to game or use more intimate presentation of audio

PC into miniDSP SHD via USB into Hypex Monoblocks into MoFi floorstanders and Power Sound Audio S1512m subwoofer
