What should I look to upgrade next on my current setup?!

Hi All,

My first post to date. My current HI-FI at the moment is predominantly a Rotel pre/ power amp setup. It's consists of a RC972 - RB981 x2 - RCD955AX - ONKYO TX8050 - TDL RTL3 - QED UPLAY - THOR Interconnects.

My plans at the moment are to upgrade the interconnects to Atlas Elements'. I'm constantly looking for bargain buys from eBay to better my setup.

Any thoughts on what would be best upgrade next preferably sticking with Rotel if I can.

The music I play is quite eclectic ranging from classical, jazz, rnb, house, pop, drumNbass, rockabilly.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

It really comes down to which aspects of your current system you find to be lacking. What is it that you specifically want to improve?

Not the interconnects. Absent a specific problem, buy more / better recorded music.

I've looked at maybe updating the pre amp and CD player. My thoughts were rc06 for the pre amp and rcd02 for the CD player.

I've looked for reviews on the rc06 but haven't really come up with anything. The rcd02 was a 5 star review so I think that's a good upgrade to my current rcd 955.
