I took my brother in law (at the time) to see good ol' Yngwie - at Royal Hall in Bradford almost 20 years ago - he spent the entire concert with his fingers in his ears and didn't speak to me for days afterwards - not that it would have made any difference i wouldn't have been able to hear him anyway!

No worries, my mate is a guitar freak (owns his own shop, in about 5 bands touring round different countries!) so I get to keep up on the old rock scene. Of course, we both agree that music was perfected in the 80s...

Vangelis - Albedo 0.39

King's X - Dogman

The Sword - Age of Winters.

The Sword - Gods of the Earth.

Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime.

Very chuffed; snagged first edition Japanese manufactured Atco label copies of Genesis "Trick of the Tail" and "Wind and Wuthering on CD from 1987 and an early release of Duke on Atlantic. Also a non-remastered MCA 1993 release of Trespass from Canada. Not easy to find and arguably one of the better sounding masterings of this LP (check the Steve Hoffman forums for more on this for those interested in mastering).
