I want to get some in ear type of phones and I would like to know which are the best ones for just going on a walk outdoors.
I've had a pair of Senheiser PX100s for about 5 or 6 years now and they still give me great service and outstanding sound. Only had to replace the ear pads once last in all that time. But when I wear these outdoors, people stare or laugh at me so now I want something more discreet. Not that I care but it's a bit annoying (perhaps they think I' trying to be hip or something).
Having said that, I want phones that are secure (after all no point in phones that keep falling out), comfortable (that's the reason I bought the Senheisers in the first place) and sound that is good enough so it can be heard clearly and intelligibly despite traffic (I mostly listen to audiobooks). I heard air cushion/marshmallow ones are good but you can advise me on that.
Now I don't want to spend much - I' m only listening to a cheap RedMango MP3 player - so if you can recommend to begin with something in the £10 - £20 region (or even less if possible) and then something going up to perhaps £30/£35, and then something in the category up to £50 approx. Please also explain the pros and cons to help me decide. I will be most grateful for your help.
Thankyou.
