What is better between a dacmagic or a nad c515

Hi to all..

I'm writing from Italy..excuse for my poor english..

To you, which is better sounding??

I have bought the number of WHF where is the review of CA340 VS nad c515, but I think that DacMagic is far better than Ca340..

Not being funny, but the NAD is a much better CD player than the DACMagic...

I know others here have found great improvements adding a DACMagic to their existing disc player, but I'd only buy a DACMagic to stream lossless music from a PC, not to improve your existing CD player.

Whilst you may get slight improvements if you added it to your Marantz, I don't think it would be worth the outlay. If you used it to stream from a PC, however, it would be better than the NAD, in my opinion.

JD I have to agreeish.

I could tell next to no difference between my Nad CDP onboard DACs and the Dac Magics (even though i was told that i should be able to hear a difference). , but when used with the Squeezebox i could hear big differences.

I know that DM is not a cdp;

I've about 400 Cd's in my collection (rock, fusion, r&b, jazz etc..) and the same Cd's are also ripped in Flac format in my hard disk, so,, the DacMagic or a cd player like Nad 515 are almost the same to me

If I buy Dacmagic I will use my pc as source (with the Spdif optical output), if I buy a cd player, I will use my original CD

My doubt is: for the price of 300£, is better DM or Nad?

I know that I must to replace my amp

(is a modified nad 3020i with all capacitors changed with some new better specs others..) and sometimes i use the Yaqin because is a nice cheap tube amp that feeling greats with my Klipsch)

Now you have explained yourself and that you will replace your amp, the DacMagic is in another league to the NAD.
