What Happened? No Denon AVR-2809 Review

After the promise of a review of the Denon AVR-2809 in the last issue of WHSaV (mentioned in the review of the Denon Blu-ray transport), I picked up the awards issue without even looking at the contents - only to find no review!

What happened guys!!?? Come on - I've got £800 burning a hole in my pocket to replace my AVR-3802 (and no, the Yamaha won't do, as I need 4 HDMI inputs).

Mike, as mentioned here before, we're planning to bring you a review of the Denon AVR-2809 exclusively here on the website. Now before other posters jump down my throat and remind me I promised it online last week (yes, I do remember!) the review is work in progress and should be online in the coming week.

Last week was a bit manic, what with developing the Awards website and all, so the AVR-2809 review has been delayed. But it is coming, I promise, and I'm pretty sure will also be published in the Ultimate Guide to Blu-ray and Home Cinema, out on October 31st as well.

Thanks for the info Andy - as a regular magazine reader who is new to this forum, I was unaware of the promise of an online review.

I trust that the verdict will mean that the wait is worthwhile and the AVR-2809 will be a more than worthy replacement for my ageing (but still very competant) '3802?
