What CD do you use as a reference?

Back to the OP. I use Rush's Moving Pictures and Joni Mitchell's Court and Spark, simply because they're the two albums I know best. From there 'll play what I fancy; bit of Peter Bradley Adams, Kate Bush, Blue Nile are always nicely produced, if not always enjoyable. Back in Black can be handy...

Mr Duncan, I personally blame you for prompting me to download Moving Pictures. My wife has banned me from mumbling the mantra, "everybody's got to deviate from the norm". Which I'm oft doing.

It's one of my all time favourite vocal phrasings/outros.
