Or the price, yours for £40,250......

Hi Al ears

The picture shows the active EL150's. Hence the P6 power amplifier. All in at a RRP of £59950 *smile*

Btw, this member is very happy with his EL150ASL's http://www.atcforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=6649

All the best

Rick @ Musicraft

So active speakers now require an external amp??? Yours, confused....

Yes the active crossovers and amps are outside the speaker cabinet like these ones *wink* *smile*

Common practice in studios is to rack mount all electronics and have simple box and drivers as main monitors (the big ones). For full range uncompressed sound at high SPLs you need mucho amps and proper cooling. Small monitors can make do with integrated electronics, more practical to move them about. Main monitors are rarely moved and sometimes fixed installations.

However...

These ATCs are audiophile kit for the luxury home. Don't these big spenders prefer their own amp stacks? Who buys an active luxury hifi speaker and never fusses about amplification?
