What are the tuners like on AV receivers?

Hi

I'm in the market for a new AV amp - don't want to spend too much but it must have pre outs to integrate with my two channel Naim system.

This narrows it down to the Sony STRDA2400 or Yamaha DSP-AX 763. The Sony appeals as has more HDMI inputs etc and a tuner which would mean I could get rid of my stand alone Denon tuner which frees a shelf for a future Freesat Box or two box amp set up etc.

But what are the tuners on these things like? Are they an after thought to look good on the spec? or decent quality?

generally just okay, but freesat has lots of digital radio stations....
