Wharfedale 9.1 Speakers Humming

Set up my new speakers and humming quite badly.

Positioned away from amp and wall.

Any other ideas?

Its normal for a small hum to be heard through speakers. This is more apparent the more the volume is turned up even without anything playing. Its usually due to the mains. Some mains supplies are more noisy than others.

You could try different speakers if you have any. If your amp has a headphone out use this and compare the difference to playing through the speakers.

It depends on what you mean by quite badly, but I'm going to assume that if it's bad enough to report on a forum, it's bad enough.

What are they plugged in to and how is everything connected?
