How do these classics fair as a rear surround speaker option?

Possibly wired to a Onkyo 606 AV RECEIVER or equivalnet class

I used Diamond 9.1 as rear for a while, they sound great. It is a full range speaker, always be the best option for multichannel sound system rather than bi-pole/di-pole type.. but I have recently replace them with smaller wallmount speakers, less excitement.

Thanks-that sounds encouraging. I know they are sweet speakers (as a unit) but in a multi set up it is always better to be sure before investing.

I have specifically - but briefly - used them as rears (with PMC fronts) and they sounded great.
