In general what speakers would you say out of monitor audio ,q acoustics and wharfedale. Are the best overall match up with onkyo av receivers the onkyo 706 to be exact.

I can't comment on Wharfedale or Q Acoustics, but I think the Monitor Audio Onkyo combination may be a bit too lively. I like MA speakers, but they can sound a bit too forward, clinical or harsh with some components. The new range of Onkyo amps appear to be reviewed as a bit on the lively side, so matching a 706 with MA may not be the best combination.
