Yes is the answer - at least I do (watch Canadian Netflix) in the UK. Note, my iTunes account is a US account.

Yes it is possible to watch US netflix (and other US internet services) from the UK. You need to register and use a Virtual Private Network VPN provider. This masks your real IP address, so the provider does not know you are in the UK. I successfully accessed and used the US netflix system using a VPN provider 'UnblockUS'. As this is a service, you do have to pay for this on top of whatever service (eg netflix) you are already paying for. It's not too much, about £4 amonth, and comes with a trial period.
