Warranty period?

Hi

Just put a deposit on a Pioneer 5090 and I notice on the reciept that the warranty is for 12 months but I have noticed a few threads that mention 5 years for these sets. Is this warranty supplied by Pioneer as standard or is it the dealer offering this? I may be able to go back to the dealer and ask if he will cover the set for 5 years

If the set is on sale at John Lewis not only will they do a price match but will also give a FREE 5 year warrenty.

I have ordered a Panasonic TH42PX80B this morning with the warrenty in for the same price Curry's are doing with the basic one year. One word of caution though, JL are selling a lot at the moment as everyone seems to be in the buying mood, so get in quick if you can.
