VTL-Pure Tube

I was at a dealers recently demoing some speakers and they had a range of these valve amps on show. Spent two hours listening to the speakers and the dealer was just happy to show me some of his other stock afterwards.

I had never heard of VTL but they looked absolutely beautiful. Valves and incredible power too (800 watts anyone?) with auto valve bias adjustment on some of them, all for a price of course! Anyway I am just curious if anybody has any experiance of them?

Anyone who thinks valves are always rose-tinted and syrupy should hear these.......very explosive, dynamic and impressive.

I've heard them a few times at shows, and not only do they look awesome but they sound fabulous too. Whether I'd choose them over Audio Research when my Premium Bond comes up I don't know.
