VSX-LX53 Upscaling

Hi Guys,

I recently got myself a VSX-LX53 to replace a VERY old 2.1 Denon system. So far I have been very impressed by both the sound and video capabilities if the Amp. However I am having a bit of difficulty regarding the upscaling of Sky HD, I set the upscaling to 108024p and when I hit the info button on the TV remote (Pioneer KRP500a) it says its displaying 1080i.

However when I change the output to 1080p and press the info button the TV says its displaying 1080p. Now I'm sure people will tell me that the differance won't be worth the hassle, but either way I'd like to be able to get it to work for my own sanity! ;-)

I'm not sure there's any point setting it to 24p as the SkyHD box doesn't support that. It can also only output 1080i maximum (have you got the Sky box set to "Auto" in the picture settings?).

The 1080p setting on the amp is probably the best your going to get, the 24p is really only for blu-ray.
