Hello

I have Virgin + HD and find it great plus a few of my friends have Sky HD and like my Virgin better. I feel a lot more would have Virgin if it was available in there area.

I have had Virgin + HD for the past two years and did feel let down over the low amount of HD channels etc. But it has got a lot better with C4 HD, FX HD and MTV HD just been added. I have had the XL pack which I find great. I don't have the sports package or the films (use ILOVEFILMS its great films & games). But even if you have Sky you still need to pay extra for the sports and films package like you would with Virgin.

Also Virgin has three tuners to Sky's two and a lot of programmes can be found free on the catch up. Like BBC and HTV iplayer, Bravo, 4 on Demand which means you don't need to record a lot on any of those channels.

I don't have the newest Virgin HD box but have heard it's only a face lift on the outside and the same on the inside.

I also have there broadband which was given the thumbs up to offering the speed you pay for.

I like it a lot and would tell anyone to get Virgin + HD with XL package.

The V+ HD rental is free with the XL TV package, otherwise you pay £5/mth for it. Installation extra , £49+ depending on special offers etc..

the monthly cost for that package is quite high so doesnt matter if the box is free its £49 anyway
