After years of following the trend for convenience and ease of use, I've hit the mid-aged, Damascene, moment of realising that the emperor Caesar Delinquens has no clothes.

Lionel Peter was right all along. Mr Peter Threeth and Alan Agar-Crumb may be well meaning but they're wrong. So what now?

I have a reasonable budget set up (Technics SL-DD33, Arcam 7 SE, 8r/8p MA S1s) but need MORE! What next?

New TT? ( wary of 2nd hand , so SP1?)

Speakers? ( less wary of 2nd hand, M751, PMC DB old, Rega Kyte?)

Amp? ( Love the A8/P so might need a lot of convincing)

If I were to give you £500, what would you do? ( Apart from sell the CDP cos my son wants that)

Well if you're happy with the sound of your amps and speakers, I'd say keep them.

When you say you need more, what do you need more of? What about the sound of the system now are you not happy with? Do you feel you could enjoy better sound from your vinyl as a no.1 priority?
