After reading a few posts about how to download the content of my Ipod to my Itunes account on my new laptop I downloaded and used Copytrans. Everything from my Ipod was copied with no problem but on most of the albums the first track is now listed as a separate album and I can't work out how to add the track back to the rest of the album?

I'm a bit of a novice around Itunes and I'm sure there's a really straight forward way of resolving this problem. I've tried right clicking on the track and using "Apply Sort Field" but nothing happens. I'm now stuck. Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers Pete.

open Itunes.

Select all the tracks you want in the same album.

right mouse click (I'm assuming you are using a PC not a mac)

Select "get info"

choose the info tab

The album name will probably be blank, (as i'm assuming this is the bit that has been corrupted on the first track of each album), fill in the album name, and click ok.

Does that work?

regards

Miles

Hi Miles.

Thanks fro the reply. I've tried all of the settings I can in the "get info" option to no avail. I suspect something has gone amiss when the files where downloaded from my Ipod.

Thanks again

Pete
