Using an amp that has phono as a preamp

Ok, here's the deal, I have a project genie III hooked up to my fatman 252 via a Cambridge Azur 640P. I have a technics class A stereo amp that has built in phono. Supposing i was to disconnect the Azur 640P, could i use the technis as the phono stage instead. Basically hookup the project genie to the phono input on the amp and then the phono out back to the fatman

If the technics has a tape- or pre-out, yes. But why would you want to? The Cambridge is a better phono stage, I guarantee it. Unless you want to free up some cash...
