Hello,

I'm going to test the Cambridge 650BD today at my local hifi-store, and would like to test how well it handles panning/motion in movies. Therefore I'm looking for titles that demand alot from the player, so I have something to compare with.

Do you know of any title yourself or have you heard the professionals use any specific scenes to see how a player handles motion?

Best, Peter

Hello mate,

Try the new star trek bd, action packed and excellent picture and sound.

There's a great scene in I Am Legend (near the beginning) when the camera pans over the city rooftops - that's really tricky for some players to handle.

I just found this interesting article. In essens it states that it is impossible to get absolute smooth panning/motion due to the limitations of 24fps.

Ex when watching Star Wars - Revenge of the Sith there is a crazy pan over the space battle at the beginning that looks really stuttering on my Denon DVD-1940 and Panny projector.
