USB playback on lg PK plasma

Where my tv is positioned I cannot easily get to the usb input on the back left of the tv without having to swivel it right out which is a bit of a pain. I would like to use a male to female usb extension cable to save me swinging it out i have a lead which works fine on my laptop but when i try it connected to the tv it says no usb device present? Anyone got any ideas ?

Nope

I just use the stick (very handy on the side as mine's on the wall) and it works surprisingly well as a media player. No idea why the extension cable wouldn't work, does it work on the PC?

Yeah all sorted now no idea why it didn't work before, i have my set slightly angled so gonna stick a usb port at the back on the right hand side so i don't have to keep swinging the set about.
Yeah same here i'm really impressed with the media player
