upscaling through blue ray

hi everyone; i want to know if a blue ray player will upscale pictures from sky box as my av amp does not; yamaha 763; will i be able to go from sky box into blue ray player into av amp ?

There's no input on Blu-Ray players. ÿFor upscaling SD channels, you will have to rely on the quality of your TV or upgrade to a Sky+HD box.

thanks; i have a sky hd box, just wanted to know if i could get better non hd pictures ?

A Sony 890 dvd rw upscales everthing put through it to 1080p as do
the better spec AV amps.

thank you, its a shame i cant do it through a blueray, as i would kill two birds with one stone, so to speak
