Upgrade - what speakers?

Ready to do an upgrade to my system. Looking for a choice of speaker which which would need to be a bookshelf speaker. A lot of listening will be at fairly low volume.

The system looking to add a Rega or a musical fidelity DAC to the arcam 1 cd player and yamaha hd 1500.

Amplifier wise will be a Creek Evo 2.

Looking at about £300 - £400 for a speaker for moment as ones I have got a damaged tweeter. This can be upgraded at later date.

Generally speaking I like a wide range of music acoustic,folk, pop, rock (70's,80's mostly) and classical.

Any suggestions would be welcome as so many brands which I have never heard off.

Any chance of getting the tweeters replaced on your current speakers? What are they?

They are only tannoy m1s from my old system. Was good for price, Nephew put his finger right through. Would have replaced them anyway. Was looking for a speaker more appropriate for newer system.
