Looking to upgrade from my current Denon AVC1530(ProLogic)/Mission 73's. Unfortunately there is hardly any space available to site anything like a decent sized speaker, not even bookshelf therefore I am looking at the sub/sat systems. It will be used for both music and film. I have recently come across the Boston Soundwares and Cambridge Audio Minx and more recently the Canton 125MX and KEF KHT1505 which all appear to fit the bill. Any advice on which speaker systems and also which reciever to pair with. I have a budget in the region of £1000 to include cabling etc but could stretch a little for the right system. Thank you in advance.

Hi All,

Rather than posting a fresh thread, I'd like to tag on to this one. Same as Amoose, I'm in a quandry about speakers. I'm sold on the Onkyo NR 609 as the Receiver but not sure about the speakers. I've gone through all the same options as the original poster. Cambridge Audio Minx, Boston Acoustics, Canton 125mx and the KEF 1505. I have the extra complication of wondering about the kef kht 8005 for ease of installation. Out of the 5 options above I think I can discount the CA Minx's because of cost. My front runners are probably the Cantons, kht 1505 and the 8005's. What does everyone think? many thanks in advance. This is my first foray into home cinema and I'm a bit confused(hence username) about all the option. Any help is greatly received.

Thanks

Pete
