My x wrote to me, can i still buy your laptop (for that price she can) so i want spend the money on active speakers for better sound.

Gonna sell my krk rokit powered 5 g 3 and use the money and those from my laptop to buy som other active speaker with better sound then my krk's (like the sound) something like 550£, 665€ for a pair

I have the isoacoustics 155 stand i still would like to use, so i wouldn't buy speakers that are to big for them and i would like studio monitors beacuse they are bi amped, use xlr cable which almost all studio monitors use and they sound good.

Have thought about this one http://www.thomann.de/gb/dynaudio_dbm50.htm Any other surgestion other them mabye the adam audio A5X?

I like a clean, open neutral sound with a thight and precise bass and lots of power (for a clean and open sound with no distortion up to 106db which is more the enough for me and the max spl of my krk's)

Given your budget and other than ADAM Audio's A5X, consider the following models:

- ADAM Audio F7 (this is ADAM's "budget" line but still very high-quality)

http://www.thomann.de/dk/adam_f7.htm

- Dynaudio Professional DBM50 (a new line has been unveiled at the Frankfurt Musikmesse so it is being discontinued)

http://www.thomann.de/intl/dynaudio_dbm50.htm

- Focal-JMlab Alpha 65 (please note that this is a new product and that I haven't heard it yet)

http://www.thomann.de/intl/focal_alpha_65.htm

- PreSonus Audio Electronics Eris 8 (the Sceptre series are excellent but you would only get one speaker with your budget)

http://www.thomann.de/dk/presonus_eris_8.htm

Also of note is that ESI Audiotechnik will soon release an upgrade of their uniK series (it was also unveiled last month at the Frankfurt Musikmesse).

The adam f7 is to big also the presonus, focal alpha 50 is not loud enough (103 db) and alpha 65 i think might be to big also the focal alpha is so new thomann only have then at the end of may (30).

Listen today to the adam a5x and like them, thought the top was a bit different to my krk mabye they where a bit louder.

Sorry about the size issue, forgot to check your stand's dimmensions.

Go for the A5X if you liked them, they are very fine monitors.

Ups double post, size like the krk rokit powered 5,yamaha hs5,adam f5,a5x.

Had the yamaha hs8 they are good but way to big, sold them when they where about 6 month (never wanted a sub with the hs8)

Don't want a slim bass like the yamaha hs5 and m audio bx5 d2 but i will go for sound quality over bass

Well, do you need the USB and 3.5 mini jack inputs?

If yes, get the ARTist5.

Do you need a front-ported speaker (which your KRK are)?

If yes, get the A5X (ARTist 5 are rear-ported).

Focal CMS 50's are really good, dunno how much they are in comparison, front ported.

Gotta have a listen yourself though...

Listen to the cms50 they where also good but almost 900£,over 1000€ for a pair is to much

Cms 40 are to small only 4" (they are in my price range) but the adam A5X has mor bass and more spl for almost the same money
