Question Upgrade from Audio Technica AT-LP120

I'm interested in upgrading my turntable and have a budget of around £400 and wondered whether a Rega Planar 2 would be a noticeable upgrade?

Have a Roksan k2 amp and Monitor Audio Silver RS6 speakers.

Any other alternatives welcome?

In my opinion going from a £250 turntable to a £400 turntable isn't going to offer much of an improvement and could possibly be the opposite. The Rega will come with a different cartridge and it is this that will make the main difference to the sound.
I would simply upgrade the cartridge on the AT

In future as budget allows you can upgrade the cartridge/stylus both fitted with good quality AT / Ortofon cartridges as standard & tonearm has VTA adjustment

+1 to this. Or save for a P3 + Elys2 at least (or a Nagaoka mp150). You can later upgrade the P3 to close to P6 (only plinth material would be different) should you feel the need to.

he might be saving for a long time and still end up with a not so easily adjustable turntable....
