Upgrade advice!

Hi all,
I hope this is in the correct section and that it's ok to ask the following:
I have recently upgraded to a Leak Stereo 130 (and CDT) and Wharfdale Lintons. I've a Project genie 1.8.
The plan is to upgrade the deck to a Project X 8 with a factory fitted Quintet Blue and run that through a Project Ds3 B or the cheaper s3 b.
My questions are is this a good overall plan in that is this a good matching system? My hope is that it is. My thinking is that there is room to upgrade the amp in time, in a few years, but that the deck will still be able to deliver with a better amp.
Any thoughts would be appreciated before I make a big mistake! Also, the option of trying before I buy is not viable.

You're definitely on the right track. The Leak/Linton combination is more than good enough to show the improvement in source, and I think it will be a long time before you feel the need to upgrade the amplifier. I've owned the Stereo 130 and it's definitely one of the better integrateds I've had. I would suggest also looking at a Rega P8 as an alternative, and it's worth a comparative audition.
