Well, as it's our Awards issue, there's a First Tests section and then the Awards extravaganza itself: no standard Group Tests this issue.

We've got reviews of three brand-new TVs in that First Test section:

Samsung LE40C8000
Sony KDL-40EX713
Panasonic TX-P42GT20

For our following, December issue (on sale 11th Nov) we have a 3D Supertest - 9 TVs from 5 different manufacturers, as well as some more First Tests.

thanks clare, id love to see a review of the lg50px990 and samsung 50c7000 plasmas, do you know if they are in that 3d supertest? thanks..

The LG 50PX990 is definitely one of the reviews in that Supertest; there are also a clutch of Samsungs, but I don't think the C7000 - looks like a couple of C8000s, C750 and C6900.

I'll add the full line-up when I get a chance/it gets finalised.

I've been following the Philips thread with interest and now am wondering whether 3D ready is worth a candle, or whether tehnology will have moved on by the time there is a reasonable amount of 3D content available. Also, I am wondering whether a 40" TV is suitable for receiving 3D. With the aforesaid in mind, does your Awards issue recommend the 40" TV with the best 2D picture?

Is the Nov mag on the streets yet?

Yes, TVs of that size are covered in the Awards issue. And the November issue has been on sale for some time, and goes off sale this week.
