Universal remote recommendations

if you have IP controlable kit or want to purchase a Wifi receiver and have an ipod and/or iphone look into "roomie" if not the logitech harmony range particularly the "one" are a couple of good options.

Something to bear in mind with the Harmony One for Sky users is that (IIRC) it lacks the coloured buttons. Touch screen replacements can be mapped but some don't like that.

Harmony 700 may be worth a look but I think only does six devices.

There are some very expensive universal remotes about but the Harmony One is pretty good and affordable and very configurable. True, it doesn't have the coloured hard buttons, but you can program these onto the touch screen. The software that comes with it is not too bad once you spend a little time with it. And yes, it will deal with most devices on the market and it is also a learning remote for the few devices that aren't in the Logitech online database.
