I have seen the Sony 32"w5500 in my local store and the picture through the freeview wasnt great and the staff agreed. We tried swapping arials with others tvs that displayed a great freeview picture, but this and nothing else would improve the sony. So I have since ruled it out (although I must be honest I did not try and view in another store).

So now I think I will be moving towards the Panasonic as they have these in stock and I can price match. I want stick with this store as I have found that they go the extra mile with customer service as they collect and set up a replacement set while the repair is carried out. Thats somthing of a dying art, customer service.

So the options are

Panasonic TX-32LZD80

Panasonic TX-32LZD81

It will be freeview use only. I am going to view tomorrow and want peoples opions of these two sets

They do have a Panasonic 37" plasma but how do the viewing distances compare to a LCD?

Freeview does look very good on the new Panny P37X10.
