two av receivers

Hi guys, so I decided to upgrade my receiver from sony 1200es to ntegragra 30.3 mainly for the HD codecs and now I'm sitting wth two receivers. My question is, can I use the integra as a processor and the sony as a power amp? If yes, what cables do I need and how is it connected. Yes both have pre outs. Thanks guys

For 5.1 you'll need to run 3 pairs of interconnects from the multi-channel analogue outputs of the 30.3 to the relevant multi channel inputs on the 1200. If you're going 7.1, add an extra pair of interconnects (assuming the receivers both have 7.1 socketry).

All speaker wiring should be connected to the Sony.

I'd experiment with the sound though. You might find the hassle of adding the Sony as a power amp brings no real benefits.
