Just about to start work on my garage/home cinema conversion. Late change of spec is that we have decided that we want to include a TV in the room for occasions when the projector is overkill or negotiations with children over use of TV in lounge are at an impasse.

Budget is up to £1k. Size of screen up to 42". Must support a resolution of 1080p. Currently have a Sony 40W4500 in the lounge and quite happy to switch that into the cinema room if that's the best bet. Not wedded to LCD or Plasma. Viewing on the TV will be predominately DVD/Blu Ray with some gaming (WII)

Thanks. I've got that one on my to be considered list. The only thing that bothered was the comment in the WHF review "Very complex patterns can cause it a moment's anxiety,"

Budget is £1,000 max

That was the only one I saw in my short time looking I would have considered buying, but I didn't have a lot of time and therefore didn't tinker with settings etc. or manage to get demos on HD material for a few of the Sonys (which were fed incredibly bad signals and therefore, rather unfairly, looked awful).

yeah the problem I've got is finding somewhere local where I can audition the sets with decent feeds. Anyway thanks for the suggestion
