Hi

I was just wondering have you guys got any group tests on the horizon? I was specifically looking for ones including the 50GT and the VT50 of Panasonic. Interestning to see how you guys measure them all up.

Many thanks

Hi gel, we always have more Group Tests on the horizon ;) Next up in the September issue, on sale this Friday, is a mega roundup of 50in to 70in screens with Panasonic TX-P50GT50 and Panasonic TX-P65ST50. Followed by 40-42in sets in the October issue, inc Panasonic TX-P42GT50.

Wey-hey Mr Clough, so Panasonic finally gave What Hi-Fi one of the ST50 plasma TV series to review, and it is in my preferred size of 65"! I shall open my September subscription issue with trembling fingers.

There is only one more day to wait, surely no need to trouble Mr Clough! (Except for those folk who get their magazine by subscription, whose copies arrived yesterday.)

Do you mean the Samsung PS51E550? Have you made a typo in the post and the accompanying article in the Sep 12 issue of What HiFi? I cannot find the P51 E550 on the Samsung website, only the PS51 E550. Is it the same unit, or does the 'S' signify something?

Thanks

Another Samsung typo that I had noted previously by email to What Hi-Fi (Samsung will be getting a complex!) is that the Samsung 64" plasma screen that you tested is the PS64E8000, not the UE64E8000. It doesn't seem to be much of a real advance (in picture quality, not the frills) over its predecessor, my PS64D8000.
