Hello,

My parents who are in their mid 60's are after a new TV but one with a built Freeview box/tuner.

They have an old panasonic at the moment and a seperate freeview box which really isnt very intuitive to use.

What's a good TV 40-50inch with a nice clean simple to use freeview tuner? i'm new to freeview tuners, can they record programs to these?

I was looking at this set but can't find any places with stock i.e. currys or richer sounds etc. http://www.whathifi.com/sony/kdl-40w605b/review

Thanks

James

If my parents are anything go by, a good sound is essential for older people, and all the reviews say the Sony's sound lets it down.

You don't mention a budget, but I'm presuming they want something pretty straightforward to use, with a good picture and sound, and for as little as possible.

How about this Samsung http://www.johnlewis.com/samsung-ue40j5100-led-hd-1080p-tv-40-with-freeview-hd/p1951623#tabinfo-ratings

I'm not sure if it has a recording facility, I doubt it at this price, but it may be worth ringing Richer Sounds to check.
