Any plans to include Calibration Settings for TV reviews in the near future? A lot of new TV sets seem complicated to calibrate, and i am sure the settings would be appreciated by the majority of readers. An example is the Philips 42PES001 which according to your review appears difficult to calibrate.

Hi JimL. There have been many requests such as yours. The thing is that What Hifi review TVs by first using the calibration 'out of the box' and then set it for their testing room. But their testing room may not suit your room. Have a read through this;

for a few hints. The other thing to try are THX DVDs. If you search in the menu under settings or language you should find a THX calibration feature to help set up your TV, based on their settings. Then adjust to what you prefer!

On top of that ~ ive found the same tvs can actually calibrate on different settings (ie ~ although they SHOULD be the same, theyre not)

Agreed. I recently caliibrated 2 identical TV's for friends and both gave slightly diferant results when correcting the out-of-the-box grey scale, so any printed setting would not allways be perfect.
